(This page may contain affiliate links. For full information please see the disclosure statement). I only recommend books/products and websites I have used and loved, period.
Here you will find a collection of outside resources that I use and love. Some resources are local to a specific area (Crazy Whole Life is located in Seattle so you will find local links for the Seattle area). Most are online or remote and available to everyone with an internet connection.
If you have resources you love, that you think other Crazy Whole Life readers would like to know about please drop me a note, we’re all in this together.
Abbey Of the Arts – Christine describes the Abbey as “a virtual global online monastery offering pilgrimages, online classes and retreats, reflections, and resources which integrate contemplative spiritual practice and creative expression with monastic spirituality.”
Soul Spa Seattle, LLC is located in Shoreline, Washington and provides individual and couples counseling, spiritual direction using the Arts, pre-marital/marital enrichment counseling using Prepare-Enrich, Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI) work, special support for clergy, and support for those struggling on a fertility journey. We also provide local and national consulting for faith communities using group process, workshops, and retreats.
Yoga International – Whether you are an experienced yogi or just getting started the ability to take yoga classes when and where you want is a pretty big advantage. I have found Yoga International’s courses to be both accurate, easy to follow and useful for all skill levels. The membership includes an unlimited number of classes each month and they are constantly releasing new material. I am a member, but am not affiliated with them in any other way and make no commission off your membership.
Embodied Faith – This website is from a Christian perspective, but includes resources from all over the United states (especially helpful for those looking for things local to them) for integrating body and spirit together into a healthy whole.
A Model Recommends – Ruth gives down to earth reviews of beauty and skincare. Her Youtube videos are my favorite beauty tutorials, if you like minimal, natural looking makeup, check her out.
Nurture the Wow: Finding Spirituality in the Frustration, Boredom, Tears, Poop, Desperation, Wonder, and Radical Amazement of Parenting – Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg writes a beautiful book on the spirituality of parenting that those from any spiritual tradition will find enlightening, encouraging, and up lifting.
Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg’s books. A fabulous resource for anyone seeking a strongly feminist, and strongly Jewish exploration of Judaism. Well written, well researched these are a resource for people far beyond Judaism. My favorites are Surprised by God: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Religion, and Yentl’s Revenge: The Next Wave of Jewish Feminism.

My personal favorite self-care planner that’s actually more than just that. I love just about everything Blessing Manifesting puts out and I use a few of her products. Her self-love planners are available as a general self-care planner. Or you can buy one with extra information and worksheets just for your own needs or niche. They’re all awesome.
- Self-Love Planner & Workbook, she’s got one for Business owners, Moms, those working on Mental Health issues, and more. Seriously, there’s something for all of us. I’m using the Biz Life version (I ordered it printed and love the print job) for my 2018 planning.
Blog/Small Business Learning
So, you want to start a blog. Or maybe you’ve got one and don’t know where to go with it? That was me, I’ve blogged for years but actually trying to turn my passion for spirituality, self-care, and divine connection into something more than a hobby felt utterly overwhelming. Most of the blog business classes and books out there assume you are selling yet more courses about how to blog (seriously, ugh), or that you are concentrating on money, or one of the big niches. If you’re into creativity, spirituality, or anything really then you need Blog & Biz Magic. Other than the fact that it’s packed with information (seriously, packed) and covers absolutely everything you need to know about turning your blog into a small business, it’s got unicorns people. Unicorns. I knew I’d found my gal when I saw those. 😉
If you’re grabbing the Blog & Biz Magic, you’ll need a host as well. I use Bluehost for my site hosting. They’ve been hosting my various websites (yes I have more than one!) for six years now and have done a great and reliable job. If you want simple and cheap to get started you’d be hard pressed to find a better option.
